She's A Witch! or Can I Get Some 'Chowder'

The EIU volleyball team got a first hand look at the sights of Boston, Harvard Square and the surrounding area as they spent Sunday in "Bean Town" following a runner-up finish at the Harvard Tournament.

In addition to the sights, sounds and food made famous by Boston - Boston Cream Pie, Clam Chowder, and Boston Baked Beans - just name a few with Boston in the name the team made a stop in Salem at the Salem Witch Trail stop. The scene from Monty Python's Holy Grail about She's A Witch immediately came to my mind.

Apart from that the remainder of the day was a little on the downside for EIU athletics as women's soccer suffered a late double overtime loss at Indiana State while men's soccer was shut out at the Kentucky tournament.

This morning we mentioned that both Otis Hudson and Chris Campbell had been cut from their respective NFL teams. We didn't know at the time that Pierre Walters had been let go as well. We are now happy to report that all three have landed with those teams on the practice squad.
